Program Leader: Basima Mohamed
Basima Mohamed, is a mother to one, a big sister to seven, and a friend to too many. She is a lifelong student, a bookworm, and an educator. She is passionate about languages, helping others, and bridging gaps created by outdated and oppressive social ideologies. I am a socially awkward introvert who tends to go on long tirades about racial and gender inequalities. I am an educator with ten years of experience working with students. I received my bachelor's degree from Metropolitan State University in English teaching with a minor in Human Rights. For graduate school, I attended Concordia University and earned my master's degree in Family Science with a focus on parent education. I am currently a cultural liaison for the Mounds View school district.
